WCB follows the USSSA Rules
WCB House Rules below override USSSA rules
Each Grade Division has a new inning cutoff time as stated in the House Rules below
Games DO NOT have a drop-dead time limit and there is no game score mercy rule
- T-Ball
- 8 games in the season
- Players hit off tee, no swing limit, swing until hit the ball into fair territory
- No score kept
- Teams play with 9 players on the field. No Catcher position (extra infielder or outfielder instead)
- Safety baseballs used
- 40 ft. mound / 60 ft. bases
- Games 6 innings or less
- No new inning beginning after 45 minutes from start time
- For example, if the game starts at 5:40, no new inning will begin past 6:25. A new inning begins after last batter from home team bats
- Teams recommended to have at least 6 players to play
- Teams will use a continuous batting order which is set for that game and should not be switched or flipped in the middle of the game
- Teams bat through their entire lineup each inning. The last batter in each inning hits a home run
- No leading off
- No stealing bases
- Base runners should advance one base on an infield hit
- No scoring on overthrow. Runners need to be batted home
- Base runners MAY NOT ADVANCE on bad throws to 1st base or any other bases
- We want the kids to spend time batting and fielding, rather than running around bases because of poor throws
- On a ball hit to the outfield, the outfielder needs to get the ball to an infielder. Once an infielder gets the ball and raises their hands for time, the ball is dead. Runners that have not made it half way to the next base, must return to the previous base
- Coach Pitch / T-Ball
- 8 games in the season
- Coach pitch for five pitches then hit off tee
- No score kept
- Teams play with 9 players on the field. No Catcher position (extra infielder or outfielder instead)

- 40 ft. mound / 60 ft. bases
- Games 6 innings or less
- No new inning beginning after 45 minutes from start time

- Games 6 innings or less
- No new inning beginning after 1 hour and 10 minutes from start time
- For example, if the game starts at 5:40, no new inning will begin past 6:50. A new inning begins after 3rd out is made at the bottom of the current inning or after last batter from home team bats
- Teams recommended to have at least 8 players to play
- Teams will use a continuous batting order which is set for that game and should not be switched or flipped in the middle of the game
- Teams bat through their entire lineup each inning or until 3 outs occur
- No leading off
- No stealing bases
- No bunting
- No infield fly rule
- No hit by pitch
- No advancement on the bases from a wild pitch or passed ball
- No scoring on overthrow, wild pitch, or passed ball. Runners need to be batted home
- Base runners may only take ONE TOTAL BASE on an overthrow (except HOME, runners may not score on an overthrow)
- For example, if the batter hits the ball in play and there is an overthrow to 1st base, the base runner may only attempt to advance to 2nd base and may not advance to 3rd base if there is an additional overthrow to 2nd base trying to get the base runner out

- For example, if the game starts at 5:40, no new inning will begin past 6:55. A new inning begins after 3rd out is made at the bottom of the current inning or after last batter from home team bats
- Teams recommended to have at least 8 players to play
- Teams will use a continuous batting order which is set for that game and should not be switched or flipped in the middle of the game
- Teams bat through their entire lineup each inning or until 3 outs occur
- No leading off
- No stealing bases
- No bunting
- No infield fly rule
- No hit by pitch
- No advancement on the bases from a wild pitch or passed ball
- No scoring on overthrow, wild pitch, or passed ball. Runners need to be batted home
- Base runners may only take ONE TOTAL BASE on an overthrow (except HOME, runners may not score on an overthrow)

- Hitters cannot strike out looking (only swinging) or walk. Foul balls count as a strike 1 and strike 2. Cannot strike out on a foul ball.
- To expedite play, please have a coach behind the catcher to to help with passed balls. Best if coach pitches up to 5 balls at a time before getting the balls back from the catcher
- Kid Pitch
- 12 games in the season
- Kid pitching from 40 feet
- Score kept - 5 run limit per inning
- Teams play with 9 players on the field with no player sitting consecutive innings
- Regular baseballs used
- 40 ft. mound / 60 ft. bases
- Games 6 innings or less
- No new inning beginning after 1 hour and 25 minutes from start time
- For example, if the game starts at 5:40, no new inning will begin past 7:05. A new inning begins after 3rd out is made at the bottom of the current inning. If the home team is ahead (or behind by more than 5 runs) after the top of the 6th inning or after the top of the current inning when the no new inning cutoff occurs, the home team will not bat and the game is over
- Teams required to have at least 8 players to play otherwise the game is forfeited. If a team has 8 players, they WILL NOT have to take an out for the 9th position in the batting order
- Teams will use a continuous batting order which is set for that game and should not be switched or flipped in the middle of the game
- Teams bat until 3 outs occur
- No leading off
- No stealing bases
- No bunting
- No infield fly rule
- No dropped 3rd strike
- No scoring on overthrow, wild pitch, or passed ball. Runners need to be batted home
- Base runners may take one base per overthrow but cannot score
- For example, if the batter hits the ball in play and there is an overthrow to 1st base, the base runner may attempt to advance to 2nd base. If there is an overthrow to 2nd base, the base runner may attempt to advance to 3rd base
- No balks will be called
4th-5th Grade Rules (10u-11u)
- Kid Pitch
- 12 games in the season
- Kid pitching from 46 feet
- Score kept - 5 run limit per inning
- Teams play with 9 players on the field with no player sitting consecutive innings
- Regular baseballs used
- 46 ft. mound / 65 ft. bases
- Games 6 innings or less
- No new inning beginning after 1 hour and 35 minutes from start time
- For example, if the game starts at 5:40, no new inning will begin past 7:15. A new inning begins after 3rd out is made at the bottom of the current inning. If the home team is ahead (or behind by more than 5 runs) after the top of the 6th inning or after the top of the current inning when the no new inning cutoff occurs, the home team will not bat and the game is over
- Teams required to have at least 8 players to play otherwise the game is forfeited. If a team has 8 players, they WILL NOT have to take an out for the 9th position in the batting order
- Teams will use a continuous batting order which is set for that game and should not be switched or flipped in the middle of the game
- Teams bat until 3 outs occur
- No leading off
- Runners may steal any base INCLUDING HOME once ball crosses home plate
- Bunting is allowed
- Infield Fly rule will be enforced
- No dropped 3rd strike
- Base runners may take unlimited bases on overthrows and passed balls, INCLUDING HOME
- However, if there is no play at the plate on a passed ball or wild pitch, once the catcher throws the ball back to the pitcher, the runner at 3rd base must return to 3rd and cannot score on a throwback to the pitcher
- No balks will be called
6th-7th Grade Rules (12u-13u)
- Kid Pitch
- 12 games in the season
- Kid pitching from 50 feet
- Score kept - 5 run limit per inning
- Teams play with 9 players on the field with no player sitting consecutive innings
- Regular baseballs used
- 50 ft. mound / 70 ft. bases
- Games 6 innings or less
- No new inning beginning after 1 hour and 35 minutes from start time
- For example, if the game starts at 5:40, no new inning will begin past 7:15. A new inning begins after 3rd out is made at the bottom of the current inning. If the home team is ahead (or behind by more than 5 runs) after the top of the 6th inning or after the top of the current inning when the no new inning cutoff occurs, the home team will not bat and the game is over
- Teams required to have at least 8 players to play otherwise the game is forfeited. If a team has 8 players, they WILL have to take an out for the 9th position in the batting order
- Teams will use a continuous batting order which is set for that game and should not be switched or flipped in the middle of the game
- Teams bat until 3 outs occur
- Leading off is allowed
- Stealing of any base allowed at any time
- Bunting is allowed
- Infield Fly rule will be enforced
- Dropped 3rd strike is in play
- Pitchers will be given 1 warning for balks
- Metal cleats NOT ALLOWED
8th-9th-10th Grade Rules (14u-15u-16u)
- Kid Pitch
- 12 games in the season
- Kid pitching from 60 feet
- Score kept - 5 run limit per inning
- Teams play with 9 players on the field with no player sitting consecutive innings
- Regular baseballs used
- 60 ft. mound / 80 ft. bases
- Games 7 innings or less
- No new inning beginning after 1 hour and 35 minutes from start time
- For example, if the game starts at 5:40, no new inning will begin past 7:15. A new inning begins after 3rd out is made at the bottom of the current inning. If the home team is ahead (or behind by more than 5 runs) after the top of the 7th inning or after the top of the current inning when the no new inning cutoff occurs, the home team will not bat and the game is over
- Teams required to have at least 8 players to play otherwise the game is forfeited. If a team has 8 players, they WILL have to take an out for the 9th position in the batting order
- Teams will use a continuous batting order which is set for that game and should not be switched or flipped in the middle of the game
- Teams bat until 3 outs occur
- Leading off is allowed
- Stealing of any base allowed at any time
- Bunting is allowed
- Infield Fly rule will be enforced
